Who Are We

The Walnut Creek Girl Scout Association is made up of girls, adults and troops from Walnut Creek, California.  We currently provide support and events for over 1100 girls.

Purpose Statement

We, the Girl Scouts of Walnut Creek Association, are here to develop a sense of community and provide support for adults and girls involved in Girl Scouting.  We provide the foundation for troop recruitment and development.  We inspire each girl’s individual growth and empowerment within herself and the community.

*  Hold older girl (6th grade and above)

All adult Girl Scouts are welcome to attend our planning and informational meetings.  Please join us and see how an Association works.

MEALS ON WHEELS COMMUNITY SERVICE

Remember to sign up for the Meals on Wheels community service project at the Fall Association meeting!  This is an easy service project that the girls love to do; pick a holiday, pick a craft, and make enough to send home and to Meals on Wheels!  Our Community Service Liaison currently has the sign up sheet; please let her know if you are interested in helping:  service@wcgsa.org

Please join us for our next evening leader meeting!  We will be handing out Spring Registration packets and Cookie Prizes.  More details will be coming soon. . .    Hope to see you there!

 

COOKIE SALE ALERT!! 

 The cookie sale has now ended!  I saw lots of girls at locations around the city; hopefully everyone had a good experience!    Cookie Managers have until Thursday to enter into ebudde and turn everything in to our Association Manager.    Plan on attending the Sping Association Meeting to pick up your cookie prizes!

 

OLDER GIRL SKILLS CAMPOREE REG OPEN

Does your older troop love the outdoors and enjoy friendly competition?  Then the Skills Camporee is the place for you!Join other troops April 25 - 27 to test your skills in orienteering, knot tying, first aid, Girl Scout facts, tent pitching and much more.  Check the website for more information: www.galarc.com/skills

 Please make sure someone in your troop is signed up! The quickest way to become a member is to email Christine Horley at webmistress@wcgsa.org. She'll send you an official "invitation" to join the group.  For online safety, your request to join the group must come from the email you gave with your troop's registration. 

 

WAGGGS WEBSITE

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts has launched a new website and a new campaign, highlighting their position as the voice of young women from all around the world.  The site still has all the world news, but a bold new look.  Check it out at www.wagggs.org.
